Max Syron
Max has an interdisciplinary practice whose materials range from glass to video, public installations to writing. His work is focused on picking apart compacted formal and symbolic orders, which appear to be the natural foundations of everyday life. Max is currently investigating the complex relation between artisans and materials, and the ways in which they have influenced historical conceptions of “the good life”.
Max Syron holds an MFA in Art from the California Institute of Art and a BFA in Sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He has participated in group shows in the US, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Bulgaria, and Romania.
He lives in Rinkabyholm, Kalmar and has his studio at Ateljéhus Pukeberg, Nybro and works in the exhibition department at The Glass Factory, Boda.
